Why we should oppose the “Tinyefuza for President” Project.

General Sejjusa (Tinyefuza) has a right to contest any public office in Uganda but he needs to meet the prerequisites first (he’s got to come clean).

Who is Gen Tinyefuza?

General David Sejusa Tinyefuza Munungu is a Uganda People’s Defence Force Four Star General decorated with DAMU MEDAL and LUWEERO TRIANGLE MEDAL a Ugandan lawyer and Military officer. He is the Coordinator of Intelligence services in Uganda and is a Senior Presidential Adviser to the President of Uganda. Currently, he is one of the highest-ranking members of the Ugandan military junta and dictatorship, who are at the rank of full General. He is a member of High Command UPDF, The UPDF defence council and is a member of the Ugandan Parliament, representing the Uganda People’s Defence Force.

Well known for his walrus moustache and characteristically violent arrogance, he has in the past, participated in and architected mass atrocities against the people of Northern Uganda (Most notably the Barlonyo Massacre during the first major military operation (Operation North) under Gen. David Tinyefuza from 1990 to 1991 against the LRA rebels (led by Joseph Kony). Recently he has carried out campaigns of intimidation against leading opposition politicians as well as NRM (ruling party) propaganda media campaigns and the infamous “Black Mamba” military raid on the High court of Uganda. David Tinyefuza was born on 13 November 1954 and is married to Juliet Tinyefuza

Brigadier Steven Kashaka Warns Gen Sejusa. – Below is Brigadier Kashaka’s statements. – “Comrade General SEJUSA, While it is not my habit to write articles, I’ve been compelled to respond to the face book article attributed to you.

From the outset, CONGS upon your successful TRANSISTION from an old TINYEFUUZA to a now Born Again SEJUSA. We have not met since the famous transaction. Hope you did it carefully and legally so it doesn’t put your wonderful and admirable CV into trouble with the Electoral Commission in future since you intend to compete for higher political offices of the land.

As someone who was deeply and strategically involved in guerrilla activities in the Luwero Triangle from the start and who played a major role in decision making there he needs to tell the public the atrocities committed by NRA in the area. Why and who decided to push one million Baganda into the forest apparently for protection and how they were protected against the national army.

There were 1.5 million people in Luwero Triangle in the 1980 census. At the end of the war some 700,000 lost their lives. Many of those who survived did not return to Luwero Triangle, meaning that half the population reclaimed their properties including land. Who occupies the second half including 9000 square miles and forests NRM had promised to return to the owners. The money and materials that were donated to help Baganda resettle never got to the target people: some of it disappeared in Kampala. How did this happen and who helped themselves?
Many Baganda senior military officers were eliminated during the guerilla war and others disappeared after the war in ways that need to be explained. Hopefully Sejjusa can shed some light in this regard.

General Sejjusa played a major role in the Northern and Eastern war that left many people dead and others thrown into camps. How much does he know?

Until he fled into exile, Sejjusa was a senior security officer, meaning that he was taking decisions that have violated Ugandans’ human rights and fundamental freedoms. This could be a major constraint for Sejjusa especially if it turns out that his decisions or actions could have contributed to commitment of what is turning out to be genocide in time of peace and in time of war in Uganda.

Be informed Sir, that you are not the first person to undergo under that wonderful transition on planet Earth. Saint Paul in the wholly bible, also did the same on his way to Damascus while on an uphill mission of fighting Christianity which war he lost miserably with an eye sight causality, repented and joined the organization he was fighting. Read St Luke.
You will agree with me General that I joined this Revolution at the stage of FRONASA in 1979 during the war against Idi Amin while you were completing your LLB at Makerere. So being two years senior to you in the struggle, since you joined us in 1981 as a young Police officer at the stage of NRM/A, kindly accept my piece of advice.

During the bush war, in 1981while I was commanding Lutta Unit and you commanding Kabalega Unit, you were parachuted to the rank of Member of High Command equivalent to Brigadier while some of us like Generals Pecos, Joram and myself who had done a one year O/CDT course at Monduli, commissioned as LTs and also commanded UNLA Units were made Senior Officers equivalent of Major and none of us complained or deserted. Life went on. So, talking about rapid promotions and parachutes, you were the first beneficially and it could not stop with you.

Sir, when shall we start respecting this revolution; treating it as our parent and begin addressing our personal issues to the right fora instead of fighting this younger generation officers whom we need to guide and sit behind as they consult us. At your age and mine what new ideas do we intend to provide?

This is your second time going against the Revolution. We have not forgotten. General, have you heard about a one prisoner Kalungi who has come up with new information that all a long he has been supplying and administering drugs to big people here hopefully you exclusive? Is it not total madness for you to even claim a following of 28,549 UPDF officers in your subversive activities? UPDF is a politically awake Force. No one will follow you. Ninga kandi ogarukire watembwa nimi ya kisasi obundi?

Come back to your senses, say sorry and help in the debate of determining our retirement package and soft landing civilian jobs while we guide the younger blood.”
