Attorney General, IGG clash over Karuma Dam contract

Attorney General Peter Nyombi, the government’s legal adviser, has reopened the 600 mega- watts Karuma Dam tendering controversy.

In an April 11 letter, made public a week after a Cabinet meeting chaired by President Museveni, the Attorney General (AG), rubbished recommendations by the Inspector General of Government (IGG) and asked that it be ignored by the Energy ministry.
